I’m Jeanne, and I do the baking.  I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember!

Rolling Out the Dough

I love to create all types of goodies, from artistically decorated cakes to bread.  I am passionate about using pure, simple ingredients.  I believe in baking from scratch, with organic and local ingredients whenever possible.

One of my current baking obsessions is sourdough.  I created a sourdough starter over two years ago.  I’ve had to rescue it from “death by mold” more than a few times, but it’s still thriving and has developed a nice sour taste.  I have experimented with all types of sourdough goodies, from bread to pizza to sweets.

If you’ve attempted sourdough, you know that it’s one of those projects that sounds simple but becomes amazingly complex.  I like a good challenge just as much as I love a fresh loaf of bread, so sourdough is right up my alley.  I’m working to demystify the sourdough process and share recipes that are simple and accessible for all.
